So make healthy choices as that food are the main source of nutrients for your baby.2 Your doctor may advice your to increase your vitamin and mineral intake, with both the help of supplements and a good healthy mix of foods that include carbohydrates, protein, vegetables and fruits, grains and legumes as well as healthy fats.1

Eating fish rich with Omega-3 fatty acids are important for the development of the nervous system in babies. But make sure to avoid those rich in mercury, as they might harm development of your baby’s nervous system.3
