In some cases, yes!Meniere’s disease is a disorder that usually affects only one ear. This disease affects the inner ear. Meniere’s disease is considered a chronic disease, and it can attack at any age – usually middle age. 1

Because Meniere’s disease is highly affected by fluid pressure, patients should try to limit salt, caffeine, chocolate as these may aggravate the case.1, 2

Patients with this disease will experience at least two or three of these symptoms at once: Frequent dizziness attacks, hearing loss which might come go, ringing in the ear or tinnitus and feeling of pressure inside the ear.

Why people get it while others don’t?  Some might get it because of viral infections, migraine headaches and allergic reactions. Others, get Meniere’s due to inherited tendency.3

Some prescription treatments and lifestyle changes can help relief the symptoms. These might include medication for easing symptoms of nausea and motion sickness. Special exercises might help too.1,2
