Sneezing, itching, coughing and swollen eye are all symptoms of allergies of different types. Allergic reactions commonly affect your airways, sinuses and nasal passages, skin, and digestive system - according to the substance causing it. Ranging from mild to severe, allergic reactions could be life-threatening.1

A lot of things around us could cause allergies. Commonly, allergic triggers include: Airborne triggers such as animals dander, mold, pollen grains and insects dropping; Food triggers such as nuts and egg; Skin triggers such as insects stings of bees and mosquitoes.2

In doubt of being allergic to certain substances, consult your health care professional, who will perform several tests (blood and skin tests) to diagnose your case, based on your symptoms and their frequency. Your doctor might suspect that you have recently eaten something unusual or have come in contact with something that caused your allergy.2

Avoiding the most common triggers is usually the best way to prevent provoking an allergic reaction. You might also consult your doctor on the best treatment option that might help alleviate your symptoms.2
